Return Policy
Every Autumn Laurel candle is hand-poured in small batches and inspected before it leaves our studio in Christiansburg, Virginia. We stand behind what we make. If something isn't right, we want to know.
The honest version of our policy
Because our candles are a personal care and home fragrance product, we aren't able to accept returns on opened or used items — that's standard across the industry and protects every customer who orders from us.
What we can promise is this: if your order arrives damaged, defective, or not what you expected, we will make it right.
If something arrives damaged or defective
Contact us at hello@autumnlaurel.com within 7 days of delivery. Send a photo of the product and packaging and we will arrange a replacement, store credit, or refund — whichever works best for you.
We don't make this complicated.
Unopened items
If you change your mind about an unopened, unused item in its original packaging, we'll accept a return within 30 days of purchase. You'll be responsible for return shipping, and we'll process your refund to the original payment method within 5 to 7 business days of receiving it back.
Proof of purchase is required — your order confirmation email works perfectly.
A few things we can't take back
- Opened or used candles, wax melts, or personal care products
- Gift cards
- Sale items
- Custom or personalized orders
These are final sale. If you have a concern about any of them, reach out before assuming there's nothing we can do — we'd rather talk it through.
Exchanges
If you'd like to exchange an unopened item for a different scent or size, contact us at hello@autumnlaurel.com and we'll sort it out. Exchanges are subject to availability. If what you want isn't in stock we'll issue store credit or a refund.
To start a return
Email hello@autumnlaurel.com with your order number and a brief note about what's going on. We'll respond within one to two business days with next steps.
