The Story Behind Autumn Laurel

Some companies begin with a business plan. Autumn Laurel began with a season of life.

Autumn has always represented something different to us. Rather than an ending, it is a season of harvest, reflection, gratitude, and abundance. It is a time when experience becomes wisdom and what matters most comes into focus.

The name Laurel comes from founder Laura Raschke's own name and from the enduring symbol of the laurel itself. For centuries, laurel has represented honor, achievement, wisdom, and a life well lived.

Autumn Laurel products are proudly crafted in Christiansburg, Virginia, in Montgomery County, within Virginia's New River Valley and the Appalachian region.

Every candle, wax melt, room spray, and home fragrance product is hand-poured in small batches. We do not outsource production. We do not warehouse products from elsewhere and relabel them. We make what we sell.

Virginia remains the foundation of our work. The landscapes, history, communities, and changing seasons of the Blue Ridge Mountains and New River Valley continue to inspire many of our fragrances.
