In the quiet hollers of Appalachia, women once carried books through mountain trails on horseback and by mule, delivering stories, news, and connection to isolated communities during the Great Depression.
Inspired by the Appalachian Pack Horse Librarians of the 1930s, Appalachian Bookwomen is a candle rooted in worn paper, weathered trails, cedarwood shelves, and stories passed hand to hand.
Warm notes of aged paper, rosewood, worn leather, cedar, dark tonka, patchouli, and sandalwood create a fragrance that feels like an old mountain library at dusk — soft light against brittle pages and rain-soaked timber.
Hand-poured in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia using premium apricot coconut wax for a smooth, clean burn and elevated fragrance throw.
